A few posts ago I mentioned that I bought some cute bandanna fabric with a contrasting black polka dots fabric so I could test out a pattern. The pattern I was testing was an apron! I had both the test apron as well as the apron I was giving away as a gift completed just a few days later. But, being as prompt as I am, I’m just getting around to uploading the pics.
Here is the bandanna apron (don’t you just love the fabulous carpeted wall?). It turned out exactly how I was hoping. I’m so in love with it that I have yet to wear it. The pattern proved to be pretty easy so it only took me a few hours to throw together. It would probably take someone who isn’t super pokey like I am about an hour. I sew really slow. :)
And the above photo is the apron I made as a gift for Tiffany (modeled by the most handsome & adorable Everett). The brown fabric has a pretty swirly texture. I chose the pink cupcake fabrics so she could wear it while whipping up some of her tasty treasures for Pink’s Patisserie. Here’s a close up of the fabrics…
I had every intention of making a chef’s hat for both her & Ev, too, but that pattern had me wanting to tear the fabric into shreds (yeah, it was that much fun). Perhaps I’ll attempt it again one day when I’m not a beginner and have more patience. Afterall, Ev needs a chef hat when he’s taste testing Mommy’s chocolate yummies!
