You’re Breaking My Heart

Dear My Beloved TiVo Box,

You’re breaking my heart.  I was so excited when you showed up on my doorstep 15 hours ago.  I’ve been waiting so long for you.  I thought for sure we were a match made in heaven.  Unfortunately, you’ve been nothing but a headache.  I’ve spent hours running around trying to find a network adapter that would work with you.  But all you do is yell at me and tell me it’s not supported.  Now, because I don’t have a land line, it looks like I have to bring you to someone elses house so you start to behave.  Don’t you understand that I’m a busy girl?  Hopefully when I get around to it, the software update that I signed up for will be waiting for me.  I really don’t want to have to leave you anywhere “up to three business days”… especially because it took me so long to convince the hubby that you are so fabulous (you’ll get acquainted with him if you ever start to behave).  Oh, how I long for the time that I thought you were the best thing since peanut butter & jelly sammiches. So, with a heavy heart I’ve decided if you aren’t working for me the way you’re suppose to by Monday morning, I’m kicking you to the curb.  Please start cooperating… I’m begging you.  You’re makin’ me look really bad here.

    Oh my. You reminded me of a little kid in a candy store for a bit there. Now, it’s as if you got a new toy and it got broke. **Poof** (waving magic wand to make TiVo work)
