…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MARQUETTE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH…WHICH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

EXPECT SNOW TO DEVELOP BY LATE TUESDAY OVER THE WEST HALF OF UPPER MICHIGAN AND CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY BEFORE DIMINISHING TO SNOW SHOWERS. THE SNOW MAY BE MIXED WITH RAIN EAST OF CRYSTAL FALLS AND THE HURON MOUNTAINS. BY THE TIME THE SNOW SHOWERS BECOME SCATTERED BY LATE WEDNESDAY…AS MUCH AS 6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW WILL ACCUMULATE IN THE WATCH AREA. THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS LIKELY OVER HIGHER TERRAIN FROM WAKEFIELD TO ROCKLAND…CALUMET AND DELAWARE AS WELL AS OVER THE HURON MOUNTAINS. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR AS MUCH AS 15 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION IN THESE MORE FAVORED AREAS. NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 40 MPH ON WEDNESDAY WILL INCREASE THE THREAT OF HAZARDOUS WEATHER.

A WINTER STORM WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW…SLEET…OR ICE ACCUMULATIONS THAT MAY IMPACT TRAVEL. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS.

Driving through a storm on my way home yesterday was bad enough.  It know it’s that time of year but PLEASE.  I have too damn much to do.  I’m so not ready for this.
