‘Scuse me…. Can I Borrow an Egg?

About 10:00 last night I started working on baking my pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving.  As I was combining the spices, I couldn’t find my ground cloves.  As I was looking online for an emergency substitution I noticed that Pauline was on Yahoo so I asked her if she had any ground cloves.  While I was waiting for her response, I found that I can use ground allspice instead.  Back to baking I went when all of a sudden I yelled out loud, “OHHHH NOOOOOO!!! I only have 3 eggs!!”  I go back to my computer and message Pauline, “Do you have an egg I can borrow?”  After a couple “Help me, Help Me” messages, she finally replied.  So, at 11:00 last night I jumped in my car & scooted over there to get an egg.  I miss 24-hour grocery stores. But, I guess in this case it was a good thing there wasn’t one because I would have had to run there twice – once for ground cloves and again for eggs.  Maybe I should learn to set out all of my ingredients before I start baking. hehe.
