I can’t believe I actually kept up with this 100 Happy Days project. There are just 7 days left! I only missed the one day in April because I was having too good of a time to worry about snapping a picture, Day #54.
100 Happy Days
Day 91, New Crib(s)
Last weekend while I was visiting Freya, D showed me his spider plant had two babies on the end of a dying shoot. He said if I could save them, I could keep them. I clipped them, put them in a cup of water, set it by a windows and declared them saved. My new baby plants are descendants of his Grandma’s spider plant. D’s youngest brother nurtured the plant and it’s offspring for the past decade or so. I am so touched that he shared the family’s plant with me.
When I got them home on Monday I grabbed two clay pots that I painted white several years ago. I’m repainting them blue and green. I thought it would be a nice touch for my new baby plants to have permanent homes that are the colors of the Turtle Clan, representing D and his family.
Day 92, Bah-looooooons!
I took another trip south yesterday after work so I could celebrate D’s birthday with him. When I got there Freya nearly tackled me to get at the balloons I brought for D. She thought they were the greatest thing in the world. After gently bouncing them around with her snout for a while, she towed them with a childlike sweetness. She wouldn’t let me take her collar off until she was ready for bed. She even had to go outside so her doggie besties could see her special floating treasure, from a distance.
Her favorite is the red balloon.
Day 93, “& Stuff”
I cracked right up when I saw this on my way to work this morning. It almost sounds like something I’d name a business. “(Blah Blah Blah) & Stuff.”
