I was too busy enjoying my extended weekend to take the time to edit and upload pics daily. Plus, I wanted to concentrate on spending time visiting and enjoying the company I was in rather than having my face in my phone or laptop. (Close your mouths, it’s not that shocking.)
However, I do really wish the iPhone WordPress app was more like the Android app. It is so much easier to upload images and edit posts and would make this #100HappyDays nothing.
100 Happy Days
Day 45, A New Quilt
I’ve had this fabric for ages. So long that I had to look back to see how long ago I bought it, January 2009. The fabric is called 1974 by Urban Chiks. Yes, I bought it because of the name but I love the colors and designs on the fabrics.
For six years I’ve been searching for a quilt pattern that was worthy of cutting up my treasured fabric. I finally found one on Thursday. I was so excited that my other projects got set aside. Retro meets modern. I can’t wait until it’s done. My bed is going to look fabulous.
Day 46, Freaky Fast… Sort Of
Jimmy John’s finally opened in Escanaba last week. Rachel and I cruised into town for lunch Friday afternoon. It was so busy in there! As a result it took a bit for us to get our subs… at least we got there freaky fast since Rach drove!
Day 47, Cheering All Evening Is Exhausting
Freya and I watched the Final Four games at TheHut with D on Saturday evening. My poor girl was wiped out from all the excitement of the games. I absolutely adore that she loves sports, too. Well, she gets into it with us, anyway.
Day 48, Wake Me When We Get There
This girl had a big few days of car rides. We went back to my apartment to spend Easter day together. You know she’s exhausted because it’s rare she rests instead of running back and forth to hang her head out of alternating windows. It made for a peaceful trip for me, though!
Day 49, If Only Time Could Freeze
Monday afternoon, post-“before the big game” nap time. This is just one of the things that I miss about living at TheHut. Waking up with Freya, opening the window for her and just watching her observe everything going on in our front yard*… the birds, the wind blowing and the occasional car that goes by.
*Oops. D’s front yard. I guess staying there and hearing him still accidentally refer to TheHut as “our place” rubbed off on me. I don’t remember the last time I referred TheHut as “our place”. I could have just simply fixed it there but I was amused that I even typed it.
Day 50, Here’s What’s Poppin’ – I’m Half Way There!
Celebration! Can you believe I stuck with this project for 50 days in a row? I couldn’t either so I had some of the tasty popcorn my cousin sent me from Iowa to celebrate.
Day 51, Break Time
This journal is awesome for resetting my brain after looking at techie stuff for hours. It’s fun, creative and helps me think outside the box. Plus, I get to play with crayons.
