I almost forgot to post here because I’ve talked about it everywhere else. Pretty much beat it dead, really. Soooo… the Daughtry concert was pretty awesome. I ended up going both Friday and Saturday nights since my niece, Rachel, wasn’t able to go on Saturday. I was front and center both nights so I took an insane number of pictures, like 250. Seriously.
And this happened before the concert on Friday… * screams like a teen girl *
Ohhhhhhh. my. gawwwwwwwwwd. Chris Daughtry hugged me. Like 2 arm, big squeeze hug. I thought I was going to die. I had to lean away from him during the pic because 1) I was nervous as all heck 2) I just wanted to lean into that beautiful bald head of his 3) He smelled really, really good. Whoa. Then… THEN!! After the pic was taken, I was wearing an open back shirt and he touched my bare shoulder. I swear I’m lucky I didn’t hit the floor because I felt my knees buckle.
Oh, then this happened after Cosmic Bingo.
Josh Steely surprised me a bit. He knew what my beer was & it’s from a Michigan brewery (UP, actually. Close to my hometown). When we took the pic he told me, “Get your Widow Maker in here!” Such a sweetie. He was the first to hug me during the meet & greet, smiled & made eye contact. If you know me well, you know how uncomfortable I am with eye contact when I first meet someone. His sweetness put me at ease.
Elvio. No words. He was so freakin’ hot that he made me nervous. During the meet and greet he told me I looked amazing and gave me the most delicious hug. He was #3 favorite hug. Yes, 3. I was surprised. Anyway, I nervously chatted with him a bit after Cosmic. When I asked him if we could take a pic, he grabbed my phone from my hand and took the selfie himself.
Brian. Ohhhh this sweetheart. This man is so adorable, let me tell you. He gave me the cutest little rocking hug during the meet & greet (2nd favorite because it was so cute). While he was on stage he was so playful and fun that I couldn’t keep my eyes off him (when they weren’t on Chris, of course). After Cosmic when I saw him in the bar, he walked up to me and said, “Hey! We met you earlier!” It surprised the heck out of me because I never think of myself as memorable when I first meet someone. I’m quiet, shy and usually fade into the crowd. He was pretty amused that I went to Bingo after the concert… until I explained the free beer thing.
I didn’t get a chance to talk with Josh Paul, the bass player, and Jamal Moore, the drummer, because they were busy chatting with other people. I also missed Chris in the bar because I went to Cosmic. I had a feeling that was going to happen. I was bummed but this made up for it a little.
I didn’t lean away! Oh, when I was walking away and dropped my arm from being around him, he took a small step backward and my hand accidentally brushed his butt. I. touched. Chris Daughtry’s. butt. DYING.
This sums up the weekend perfectly.
