This weekend I joined 2 of my sisters and my niece in Green Bay for our annual Packers Training Camp Girl’s Weekend. One of the activities for the weekend includes a scavenger hunt. Fortunately for me, this is also one of the items on my 101 Things in 1001 Days so I get to cross another item off the list. YAY! I’m on a roll.
This is my first time participating in the hunt. I have to say, it adds a lot to the trip! You really have to stay alert and have a pretty good grasp of the hunt items so you don’t lose out on points. Losing out on points sucks. A lot. Especially when you know you saw an item on the list but can’t cross it off because it you saw it on the list after the fact. That happened to me way too often.
Something I discovered is that it’s really hard to keep track of what you’re consuming when you’re use to just being able to enjoy a tasty drink. Really. hard. When you’re in an environment when scribbling down drink counts it gets really easy to lose track. It makes it even more interesting when other people in the group lose track and ask for help trying to figure out what they drank. Looking at my little tick marks, I also have a very good understanding as to why my organs hate me for a couple of days after the trip. It’s a really good thing I started super hydrating a few days prior!
I’m really looking forward to our next weekend. We’re planning something pretty fabulous with the most amazing scavenger hunt ever. And as a bonus, I’ll be able cross a few more items off my 101 in 1001!
