I’m suffering from the car woes. Saturday night when we got back from Michigan, I noticed something smelled funny by the back of my car when I got out. I stepped over to the back tire & found where the smell was coming from. I put my hand near the tire & it was a little warm so I had Adam come check it out. He tried to put his hand on the wheel cover but it burned him when he touched it.
Come to find out, the brakes on the passenger side were installed wrong. From what I can decipher they locked up. The inside brake pad was completely gone from dragging. The rotor had to be replaced because it was rippled from the brakes dragging on it. I also had to have the caliper replaced – whatever that does. They’re thinking the heat caused a little sliding thing that allows the brake to open & close to get stuck. They tried without success to pound it out – figuring if they could get it out, they could grease it & all would be good. Now I have to buy the whole part & the little thingie. :( I’m so technical, huh? rofl.
So…. since my car is laid up I’ve been driving Adam’s truck. It doesn’t have a muffler so it has a rumble sound like this… (using a really low voice) VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, PUTT POW (when I shift), VRRRRRRRRRRR, PUTT PUTT (shifting again), VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. It is SO horrible. I swear to god I’m even dreaming about the darn noise. I’m annoyed to the point where I told him that I’m going to pay for the darn thing myself I want it fixed so bad.
Adam & I finally went to the show the other night. We went & saw Little Nemo. It was a really cute show. Hopefully we’ll be able to go see 2 Fast 2 Furious this weekend.
